3How Our Calculators Work
Every calculator on CalcPercentage — from the basic percentage calculator to the discount calculator, percentage increase tool, and all others — operates entirely client-side. This is a deliberate architectural choice made for both performance and privacy.
- Client-side only: All calculation logic runs as JavaScript in your browser. No data is sent to any server to produce a result.
- No API calls: Our calculators do not make network requests to process your inputs. The calculation happens instantly, locally.
- No local storage of sensitive data: We do not write your calculation inputs to localStorage, sessionStorage, or any browser storage mechanism.
- Works offline: Because all computation is local, the calculators continue to work correctly after the page loads, even without a network connection.
- No login required: Access to every tool is immediate and anonymous — no account, no cookies required to function.
When you load a page on CalcPercentage, your browser makes a standard HTTP request to our hosting servers (Vercel) to download the HTML, CSS, and JavaScript files. This is normal web browsing behaviour and is identical to visiting any other website. The page files themselves contain no personal data about you.
4Cookies
A cookie is a small text file stored on your device by a website. Here is our complete and honest cookie usage:

We do not: embed Facebook/Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, Google Ads conversion tags, affiliate tracking scripts, or any advertising network tags. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third party for commercial or marketing purposes.
CalcPercentage may contain links to external websites (e.g., calculator-related resources). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of external sites. We recommend reading the privacy policy of any external site you visit.
7Data Retention
Because we collect almost no personal data, our retention policy is straightforward:
- Calculator inputs: Never stored. Exist only in your browser's memory during your session and are discarded when you close the tab.
- Anonymised analytics: Retained in aggregate form for up to 26 months for trend analysis, then deleted. No individual data is retained.
- Contact emails: If you email us, your email address and message are retained only as long as necessary to respond and resolve your query — typically no longer than 12 months.
- Server logs (Vercel): Standard server access logs are retained by Vercel per their own retention policy (typically 30 days). We do not control this data.
We do not maintain any user database, account system, or persistent record of individual visitors to CalcPercentage.
8Your Rights

No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect any information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
